With the recent development of imaging technology, many people have chosen to replace their TV products in their homes. Although the colorful light and shadow are gratifying, if there are some bad spots on the screen, the picture effect will be greatly reduced. Due to the different standards for defining bad spots around the world, many manufacturers default that if there are less than 3-6 bad spots on a panel, it is a qualified product. if such a product is not perfect, how should we deal with it?

What is the bad point?

The large LCD screen consists of many dots, and each dot forms colors and images due to the continuous changes of RGB three primary colors. However, if there is a problem with the pixel point and the color does not change, a bad point is formed. Bad spots are usually divided into several types. If it is a colored bright spot, it means that the pixel of the spot is stuck. We can repair such bad spots. However, if it is a dark black dot, it means that the dot is completely broken and even repair is invalid.

Marking pen extrusion method

Turn on the TV and set the screen display to a pure black screen (or other solid colors in sharp contrast with the bad spots), so that the bright spots can be clearly seen. Find a pen with a smooth cap and press it gently against the bright spot, then you will see a white light. If not, you can increase the intensity a little. After squeezing for about 5 ~ 10 times, the liquid crystal inside the display screen flows, which can make the stuck pixels return to normal, and then make the bright spot disappear.

Hot towel heating method

Squeezing the LCD screen with the pen cap may cause damage to the screen due to the user's excessive force. If we are worried about not being able to handle the force correctly, we can also use a safer hot towel heating method to repair the bright spot. Soak the towel in hot water and, if possible, heat the basin with fire until bubbles appear at the bottom. Then take out the towel and put on insulating gloves to wring it dry. Place the hot towel on the screen with bright spots, and try to ensure that the heat is concentrated at the bright spots, and apply hot compress for about 10 minutes, so that the liquid crystal inside the display screen is heated and flows, thus making the bright spots disappear.

Software repair method

As the functions of TV products are more and more abundant, we can also repair the bad points through software. Take this software named "LCD Bright Spot and Bad Spot Repair Tool" as an example. First, connect our TV to the computer, switch the signal source to the corresponding port, turn on the software, set the display to the best resolution, and close the Windows screen saver. If there are multiple bright spots, you can first set the number of flashing spots in the "Flash windows" option. At this time, a number of flashing points will appear on the screen, drag them to the bright spot position with the mouse, and right-click to set their colors at the same time. Then select the flash point size in "Flash size", adjust the flash period through "Flash interval", and finally click "Start" to repair. This method can repair most bright spots as well as bright spots such as LCD televisions and notebook LCD screens.
